- Water Quality Control: Water should be changed regularly in line with usage to prevent the buildup of bacteria and other microbes. The frequency of water changes depends on application the bath is being used- commercial or residential. Our ozoniser will automatically inject ozone into the water for 4 hours, twice daily.
- Temperature Management: Our smart controller will keep the bath within 3 degrees of the set temperature, changing the temperature is simple and can be made by holding down the set button and moving the keys up or down to reach the desired setting.
- Cleaning and Disinfection: We recommend cleaning the bath after each time the water is changed, especially in commercial applications.
- Inspect for Damage: Regularly inspect the ice bath for any signs of wear or damage, such as cracks, leaks, or deterioration. Addressing these issues promptly can prevent more extensive repairs later.
- Cleaning of condenser: we recommend monthly brushing of the condenser, this will lower power usage and keep the motor running as efficiently as possible.
- Filter Maintenance: We recommend checking the filter every three weeks, this requires turning off the power and water valves, then removing the filter from the pump housing. Filter can then be brushed and hosed out to clear any sediment or bacteria build up. Once finished simply put back and open the water valves to continue using the plunge.
- Water Circulation: If the ice bath includes a pump or jets, these should be checked to make sure they are circulating the water effectively, which helps to maintain even water temperature and cleaner water.
- Covering: When not in use, roll the retractable cover on the bath. This will keep the cold in and dirt out!
COLD EXPOSURE BENEFITS
Reduced Muscle Soreness
Ice baths help in reducing muscle soreness after intense physical activities by constricting blood vessels and decreasing metabolic activity, which reduces swelling and tissue breakdown.
Enhanced Recovery
By lowering the temperature of damaged muscle tissue, ice baths facilitate a faster recovery by reducing inflammation and improving circulation once the body returns to its normal temperature.
Improved Circulation
Cold exposure from ice baths stimulates blood flow. When you get out of the cold water, blood circulation increases as the body warms back up, helping to flush out metabolic waste post-exercise.
Boosted Immune System
Regular cold exposure is believed to boost the immune system by increasing white blood cell count and concentrations of certain immune-boosting chemicals.
Mental Resilience
Regular use of ice baths can help build mental toughness and resilience, training individuals to endure and adapt to harsh conditions.
Enhanced Sleep Quality
The calming and cooling effects post-ice bath can help enhance sleep quality by helping the body to relax and slow down, which is essential for recovery.
